The Artist

Mohsine, a figurative painter who considers himself as "the most classical of contemporary painters or the most contemporary of classical painters".

A post-doctoral graduate from INSA Lyon and an auditor of the Ecole du Louvre in Paris and Atelier Montmartre for artists, Mohsine's passion for painting has been ingrained in him since childhood.

He continually works towards a personal graphic touch, bridging the gap between classical and contemporary painting techniques.

Discovering the Roots of Mohsine's Passion for Painting

His passion stems from his early years, where he collected classical painting reproductions and attempted to replicate them. A chance discovery of a basket filled with watercolor tubes at the age of ten further fueled his passion and commitment to his craft.

As a teenager, he was captivated by the great masters displayed at the Louvre and upon becoming a student in France, he was finally able to directly experience and admire these masterpieces that he had always held in high esteem.

Exploring the Artistic Brilliance of Mohsine: A Closer Look at his Portraits and Their Unique Characteristics

Mohsine's portraits are characterized by a unique tension between the passiveness of the subjects' gazes and the dynamic energy of his brushwork. The discreet yet effective use of pure white further showcases the virtuosity and originality of this atypical artist.

The deliberately passive gazes in his portraits engage the spectator, inviting reflection and interaction. The motionless figures strive to be invisible, yet their intense visibility draws the viewer into their world.
